Happy Birthday, Lita!

Today is Lita's 3rd birthday and she is certainly the "Queen" around here. Poor Ozzy, he never hardly gets to play anymore because Lita won't let him. If we throw a ball or Frisbee to Ozzy, he just lets it hit him in the head and don't even try to catch it anymore. He used to do these amazing jumps & turns when he would catch the Frisbee, but not since Lita came along. However, today was different! We took them out to "Craney Bottom" {some of the names of trails around here just crack me up}. Anyway, there are two huge open fields up there and literally nobody around during the week. We took them up there and packed them up some treats, water, etc. and let them off their leashes. They had a blast! For some reason, Lita decided that she just wanted to lie on the picnic table & watch Ozzy play {I guess since she's 21 in dog years now, she has to act more mature}

When Ozzy realized that Lita was just going to sit back & let him play catch, he started showing off. He even did a few amazing jumps:

Of course, mostly because I brought a bag full of treats! None the less, it was fun watching him being his old self again:

We have ice cream treats for later this evening, after watching "American Idol". Of course, I like the guys 100% better than the girls this year. I have a feeling that show is going to come down to a couple of guys left in the end. I think my favorite right now is Jason. He has the most gorgeous smile & eyes, plus a wonderful voice to boot. Who's your favorite? Let's take a vote. Don't forget! You still have 2 days to leave a comment on my last post for a chance @ a $20 Gift Certificate from my shop. I'll be drawing a number sometime Friday afternoon ~ Good Luck!

~ Hope you are all having a wonderful week! Happy Wednesday!!!

Xxoo & peace always ~ Kathy

  1. YAY OZZIE!!!! :) They're just so durn cute anyways. Kind of amazing that animals go through psychological issues too though. I love that Lita 'let' Ozzie get the attention for a change :)

  2. Hee hee ~ it's almost like she forgot today, though. She's right back to her normal "mean" self :)
