Thanks Ya'll! How bout a "freebie"...

Well the "Bogo" sale is off to a great start for the weekend!!! Thanks everybody!! So I got a reply to my e-mail that I mass produced this morning and it was from somebody that makes jewelry and had a shop on Etsy and thought she had done all the "right things", but didn't get hardly any sales and she gave up. She was wanting to know "how I did it". So in a round about way, I basically summed up what this little picture is saying "whatever you chose to do in life, you have to put your heart into it". That's what I do and people tell me it shows. I couldn't even imagine not making jewelry just about every single day of my life. You have to be passionate about it, love it and wholeheartly dedicate yourself to it to be successful at it. The number one thing is never, never, never give up and never get frustrated ~ your frustation will show in your work and people will notice. Okay, so enough about that lesson for the day. Let's get on to the "free" stuff! These awsome little earrings ~ appropriately named "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" will be given away on Monday!!! All you have to do to win them is comment on this blog post! Ozzy will be picking the winner this time ~ Good Luck!!!
After some requests, I listed a "Gift Certifiate" in the shop. It's a great way to give somebody something from my shop, without stressing over picking it out. Let me know what you think about it ~:)

Well, I gotta run for now and get ready to go meet friends for dinner & listen to the "Moon Shine Babies" ~ And then tomorrow night @ 6:00pm I'll have my jewelry on display @ Poppies Gourmet Market. I'll be set up in the Garden so people can shop while then enjoy music from the beautiful & talented Nikki Talley! Poppies will be serving up some great food & spirits, too! Come out and see me if you live in Transylvania County! Whoo hooo ~ August is looking good! Have a great weekend everybody!
♥ & peace always ~ Kathy

Sorry I couldn't indulge with the BOGO sale, but Grace's fracture ate up my jewel money..lol. My poor daughter has to lug around this big black boot.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Marcy, I don't know you, but I care about you.

  5. Hey Kathy -
been spending a bit more time getting to know my computer so I found your e- and freebie offer on a rarely used e-mail.
I have purchaed from you on etsy in the past but I've been in a fog for far too long - I like your inspiration for the 'reader who sold nothing' and I'm taking it to heart. I spin and do other fiber-y thing and am starting to felt; along with jewelry-making. I'm starting a "Make my life" book (it's how I moved to AZ from GA in 2 months) and am going to change my life ONCE AGAIN! I'm so glad I dropped by.
For the last commenter-marcy-- Let's get buzy and change with me, NO more blues! Sunshine only!

  6. Such great advice. If anyone knows, it's you Kathy! Everything you do, down to your product descriptions, shows that you have passion for it. When I opened shop on Etsy, you were one of the first "veteran" Sellers I spotted giving out positive words and encouragement to others. I totally heart you!

  9. Well, I came here in a roundabout way and I've never been here before but what you had to say made the best horsesense I've heard in a loooooong time. I am passionate about crafting in general but for the last year I have been crocheting like a madwoman. I got very frustrated with a design I was making for my husband before Christmas and the long and the short of it is, that I laid it down. So I can add to all you ladies out there in cyberspace this piece of advice: don't set your sights so high that you set yourself up for failure! My SIL took one look at the afghan that I was crocheting for my husband and said, "honey, that's something you present to him on your 40th wedding anniversary!". It gave me the permission to do a little bit at a time, which I couldn't seem to give myself.

    Thank you for your post!
