Big Love Fest!!

Yay!  Come out and see me tomorrow at the "Big Love Fest" in downtown Asheville, NC.  I'll be peddling my wares in the streets, along with lots of other awesome vendors.  There will be lots of food, fun and music, too!  What a great way to celebrate my 50th birthday!  I just hope the next 1/2 of my life is as awesome as the first 1/2 has been!

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!!  Life is good ~

P.S.  If you come see me tomorrow, mention you're a blog reader and I'll give you a fortune!

Funny Farm Animal Friday...

These cows were so funny!  We ran across them on our hike yesterday, after the monsoon.  In fact, this little guy still had wet whiskers:
The sky looked a little dark when we started out, but Wayne had checked the radar and there was nothing on it even close to our area, so we headed off.  Well, low and behold, about 15 minutes into our hike, the bottom fell out of the sky and it started pouring down rain, thundering and lightening and the wind was blowing like crazy.  Obviously, a big storm developed right over our heads.  We ran and took shelter in a little barn that housed seven little goats.  We hung out with the goats for about an hour before the rain finally let up enough for us to  head back to the car.  Those little goats were terrified of the lightening and thunder, so I think we all gave each other comfort:
and this little guy was hiliarious ~ he kept butting all of the "women" out of his way, just so he could come see what Wayne and I were up to.  Once he realized we didn't have anything for him [other than some head scratches], he headed back to his corner and laid down:
You never know what you can find on a rainy day, if you just look hard enough.  Life is good!!

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!!

Finding beauty & a winner!!

One of my favorite things in the whole wide world are the tiny wildflowers that pop up in the Springtime...I could spend all my days walking amongst them:
the teeny tiny little daisies
the pretty little iris'
and one of my favorites ~ "Jack in the pulpit".
and then there are the trees,
the water and
the critters.  How lucky am I to be surrounded by such beauty!  Does anything else really matter?  Well, maybe I need to create beauty, as well.  And speaking of which, a big "Congrats" goes out to lucky #4 "LeahR"!!!  You are the lucky winner of those beautiful earrings from my last post.  Please send me an e-mail, with your mailing address, so they can be on their way to you and, hopefully, will bring even more beauty into your life!  Thanks for reading my ramblings!!

New Stuff & A "Freebie"

Wow!  After over 4 inches of rain last night and this morning, it's turned out to be a gorgeous day!  We are headed up into Pisgah National Forest to check out the bulging waterfalls and see what's blooming.  But before we headed out, I just wanted to share this awesome bracelet...it's gorgeous:
Appropriately named "Crimson & Caramel" and it's for sale in the shop!  Also listed today are these beautiful earrings:
I named them "Shining Star" and the colors are beautiful!  Of course, you can purchase them in the shop, but I'll be giving a pair away on Wednesday.  All you have to do is leave a comment on this post for your chance to win...Ozzy will be picking the winner!  Good Luck!!

Off to the forest...have a great weekend everybody!

I've been gone too long...

You are probably wondering where in the world I have been!?  First of all, I took a two week vacation to go visit my friends and Family.  I started in Mississippi, then went to Louisiana and then on to Florida.  It was such a great/relaxing trip ~ one I really needed.  I've never taken that long of a "road trip" by myself and, I have to say, it was quite invigorating.  It's nice being on the road by yourself, with nobody telling you to turn down the music, roll up the window, stop to pee, or "slow down" ~ lol.
Besides, is it really possible to go slow when you are listening to Michael Jackson so loud that you miss 2 calls on your cell phone [with the cell phone volume turned all the way up]!
But I guess one of the highlights of my trip was this group of girls!  We played Pokeno together for over 20 years.  TWENTY years!!  Gosh, what milestones some of us have accomplished.  I love these women!  And that's my baby sister in the red and white polka dot top ~ ♥
And after a fun-filled week at the beach with my BFF, it was back home and back to work.  Be looking for some new things soon, as I got a ton of new beads from my favorite wholesale bead store "Turquoise Coyote" in Ponchatoula, LA ~ fun, fun!!

Happy Wednesday everybody!!
