Photography & "Free" Earrings!!!

These are some new earrings I made for the shop today, called "World Peace". I thought they would make a wonderful accessory for wearing to the voting polls!

Okay, so call me crazy! I started another Etsy shop and am now selling some of my photography. Please check it out and give me some feedback. Rock You Like A Hurricane....

I love this!!!! A new necklace I made this morning with one of the "hurricane glass pendants" that I bought from Luigi Cattelan when he was here doing a trunk show from Murano, Italy. I think this has to be my favorite, so far. The black agate stones keep it simple enough to make the pendant "pop" ~ it's really awesome and you know where you can find it :)And here's another page from Jack's book ~ isnt' it precious! I'm having so much fun with it ~ I know his parents are going to just love it!

Rest In Peace...

The gripping story of the baby whale that was lost this week in Australia has just been heart-wrenching, to say the least. I made this little necklace yesterday and named it "Colin", as a tribute to that little whale. It's for sale in the shop and 100% of the proceeds will be donated by me in his name to "The Whale Center Of New England". The people there devote their whole lives to the studying, habitats & saving of whales. Hopefully, through their efforts, more can be learned about whales and this terrible tragedy will never happen again if people actually know "what to do". Thanks for reading.

Road Trips & Vintage Finds...

Time flies! Wayne & I took an awesome motorcycle trip Monday. We were gone all day ~ it was so much fun and exactly what we both needed after all the house guests were back home. We went through this awesome little town of "Saluta", where we were greeted by this wonderful "Peace Sign", had lunch and walked around the little town. We found this great little vintage shop that was just so much fun and chocker block full of funny stuff!

Like this awesome purple clock purse that made me laugh, as did this:which would work out perfect for my string! And this:which was just down right hilarious! I still don't get the "raccoon", but I suppose it's somebody's inside joke! And of course there were these memories:But this was the best part of all:Happy Wednesday!!!! xxoo & peace always ~ Kathy

Books & Roses...

I've started to make a book for little Jack for his 1st birthday, which is October 17th. This is the cover. I think it turned out really awesome ~ what do you think? The quote says "The Music in my heart I bore, long after it was heard no more". I took this picture of Jack this past Monday night ~ he is starting to pull up and is really getting into the music. I think he's going to become an awesome musician. Of course I'm biased, but still, he's quite awesome :)

This is a new necklace I made today! It's called "Kiss From A Rose" and it's just awesome! The wooden rose is simply gorgeous and the little pewter bee makes it that much more beautiful. Of course, it's for sale in the shop, if you want to check it out.

So I hope you are all having a terrific weekend! I've been busy filling orders all day, so I'm going to jump in the hot tub for a bit, before Michael Phelps swims his last swim.

Yay ~ we finally got some rain!!!

And the best thing about the rain around here is the awesome shroomies that pop up all over the place ~ they are everywhere:

Well, all of my house guests have gone back home as of this morning. It's a little sad knowing I won't be able to see them for another year or so, but at the same time, Wayne and I have our house back. Ozzy & Lita will miss the guests the most, since I'm 100% sure morsels of food were snuck to them on a regular basis over the last three weeks. But Ozzy has resumed his spot on the couch and Lita has resumed her position on Waynes lap, or at his feet if he's not sitting down. So today I'm catching up on cleaning and laundry and then I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend of making jewelry. So be on the lookout for new things in the shopAnd here's a natural little "heart" that popped up today, so I'm sending it along to all of you and thank you again for reading my ramblings and patiently awaiting my updates, which have been few and far between lately. I promise I'll be lots, lots better now, since I have no more guests coming to visit until another month, or so. Happy Friday!!!!

Busy Bee.....

Sorry if I've been neglecting my blog....I'm busier than a bee right now, with house guests and all. Wayne and I stopped by "Queen's Farm" yesterday for some fresh pickens and I snapped some great shots of bees & butterflies....I hope you enjoy them:The butterflies around here are in such abundance right now ~ it's really awesome:I did find a few extra minutes this morning to make this:It's made with a gorgeous ceramic leaf that my friend Jen made for me. I named it "Free Falling" and it's for sale in the shop. Jen makes pottery and some wonderful handmade soaps. The soaps are made with actual water from the waterfalls around here. Well, I gotta run for now and get ready for our next visitors, but before I go I just have to share this awesome little bird nest. It's baby Purple Martins and they had a nest right outside of the nature center up at the Fish Hatchery last week ~ they were soooooo cute!Have a wonderful weekend!
