I just love being at home! I think if I were told I could never leave, I would actually be okay with that! Seems as though Wayne and I are always making plans and then, at the last minute, decide to just stay home and enjoy the company of each other and the dogs. We've been running the roads for the last few days and I'm so glad today we are just staying put! Probably tomorrow, too....unless we go for a hike, which is just about the only other thing I enjoy just as much [maybe a teeny bit more] than staying home! And the weather has been awesome here! Another beautiful day in the mountains!! But, it's not "all" play...I've been doing a little bit of work, too...like these awesome earrings I made today:
I named them "Dragons are a girl's best friend" and they are for sale in the shop. However!!!! I will be giving a pair of these away Tuesday!! All you have to do is comment on this post and let me know your favorite thing about being at home. Lita will be picking the winner! Good luck!!
Have any of you ever tried "Allegro" marinade? It's awesome!! Yesterday I used a mixture of 1/2 "Original" and 1/2 "Hot & Spicy" to marinate some beef tenderloin steaks. You just get the steaks cut about 1.5 to 2 inches thick, put them in a large zip-lock bag and pour the marinade over them. Then I squeeze as much air out of the bag as possible and mush them around with my hands. Refrigerate for about 3 hours, or overnight and then cook them on the grill on low, keeping the cover closed and turning them ever so often, until they are cooked to your liking. They are awesome when served with organic baked potatoes and some fresh grilled asparagus. For the asparagus, I just rinse it off well, then dry it off a little with paper towels. I cut about an inch off the bottom stalk and then put them in a shallow dish/bowl. Then, I pour some olive oil over them and generously sprinkle them with Mrs. Dash & Tony Chachere's. Then, using my hands, I roll them around in the dish to make sure they are all coated well. Wayne grills them up with the steaks and they are awesome!! {be sure to taste test them often when they are cooking, until they arrive at your desired level of crunch} ~ A great dinner for an outdoor cookout, for sure!!
Have a wonderful weekend!! Good luck in the drawing!!
