Imagination is more important than knowledge...

Happy Monday!! I can't believe next Monday will be November 1st!! NOVEMBER, already! As of today, it's 1 month until Thanksgiving and 2 months until Christmas!! Seems like it was just the first day of Summer a month ago! I know I'm always talking about how fast time flies by, but it's really amazing to me how fast it really does! Anyway, just makes me want to stay busy being creative & making new things, taking more pictures, enjoying more things and loving the beauty of mother nature, family, friends & children:these two little girls belong to a couple of my wonderful friends. Although it was one of their Mom's birthdays, they blew out the candles. And it's just as well...seems like the more birthdays you have, the more help you need blowing out the candles anyway, right!So last night @ the birthday party some of the girls called me into the kitchen to take a picture. When I got in there, they were all standing together and pointed out that every one of them were wearing something I made...either a necklace, or a pair of earrings. It was so sweet...made me a little verklempt. I'm so lucky have to these amazing women as friends. I love them all!
And I love all of ya'll, too! I'm amazed out how many leaves fell off the trees in my yard over night! My car is covered! So to celebrate my wonderful friends and the ending of October, I'm giving away one of these beautiful Maple Leaf Necklaces. All you have to do to win is comment on this post, or the link on facebook. Ozzy will be picking a winner Monday morning, November 1st! Good luck!!hee hee ~ so this is one of my lastest "TtV" photographs. I just love this huge pink "Care Bear" I found at the thrift store for $1. And, as luck would have it, he talks and loves to climb trees! I sure am a lucky girl!This is what awaited me at the end of my road early Saturday morning when I headed down to the "Transylvania County Tailgate Market". The full Moon was still high in the sky and the rising sun was casting a warm pink glow on the mountain was breathtaking!

It's a little rainy & overcast today...the perfect kind of day to be creative! Don't forget to leave a comment and good luck on the drawing!!

Falling leaves & Jabberwocky's...

...the leaves are absolutely beautiful around here! My whole studio is glowing golden from the sun shining on the yellow leaves outside my window. It's my most favorite time of the year and we have been taking full advantage of the gorgeous weather & colors. And lucky for me, my sister sent me these cute little orange Mary Janes and they are my new favorite shoes and perfect for crunching around in the leaves. Plus, they are really cute & comfy to boot!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but my cousin [that I haven't seen in over 10 years] and her awesome family were in town and we took them on an adventure:
so cute! I wish they lived closer, but they are coming back soon!! They really enjoyed it up here. Anywoo...getting to the business at hand, the winner of that awesome snake ring was lucky #4, which happens to be Maggie!! A couple of you posted a comment on the link to the blog, which I put on facebook, so I counted those, too. So, congratulations Maggie!! I hope you love your little snake ring!! It's so cute!So on my way home from running errands this weekend, I stopped in at a yard sale [which I hardly ever do] and lucked up on a vintage "Brownie Starflex" camera for $2. Now I'm practicing "TtV photography" and having so much fun with it! I love the way the photos turn out. So funky! I'm also having fun with dragons lately...seems as though I get hooked up on something and make several things in a row using a certain little critter/bead. This is my latest little necklace:
I must say, he is rather a charming little "Jabberwocky" indeed! And, he's for sale right here, just in case you're into dragons these days, too. And if you've never read the "Jabberwocky" poem, it is quite interesting indeed:

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

“Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!”

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought—
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.

“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.

’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe."
from Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There (1872).

Happy Tuesday peeps! I just bought a bunch of gorgeous venetian glass, so I'm off to make some earrings...check the shop later to see what I came up with :)
