Happy Friday!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful week! I surely did {well sorta}. Except for the mammogram yesterday, which seems to get more and more painful every time I get it done. But, it's one of those things that women must endure to stay healthy. I must say that the little "bee bees" get cuter & cuter, but they certainly seem to stick better! Eeekkkk, talk about hurt when you have to pull these cuties off your nipples:

And they are such nice spring colors, too. Which always makes me feel better {*right*}. Now I just have to find a dentist here and I'll be all set for at least the next six months. I hate going to the Doctor! There are so many more fun things to do besides that. Like taking Ozzy & Lita for a hike in the woods. We took them out Wednesday and they had a blast. Especially Lita ~ she was the happiest little dog I had ever seen. We hiked the "Pink Beds Loop" which winds through the woods, along side of a gorgeous creek, with awesome foot bridges, flowers & trees. The hike was about 3.5 miles and was really nice:

We had a great time ~ I think we may go again today! But, before I go I need to congratulate this week's lucky winner, which is #4, Tracy Johnson!!! Congratulations, Tracy! I hope you love your earrings. Now, for next Friday's give away, it will be this awesome little necklace that reminds me so much of Spring ~ I know you will love it

And in order to win, all you have to do is comment on this blog. The winner will be drawn next Friday {March 21st}. Ozzy will be picking the number this time. He got his feelings hurt this morning when Lita got to pick and he was left out. So good luck!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend ~ Happy Spring!!!

Xxoo & peace always ~ Kathy

  1. I hate mammograms too, but more than that, my gynecologist, who is a woman, gives the MOST thorough and thoroughly painful breast exam ever! I alway ask if she has a piece of rawhide I can bite on...glad yours is over, mine's coming up...
I don't get those cute little things here in Arkansas...what are they for?
    Enjoy the day!

    Blessings to you,

  3. Congratulations, Tracy! Yes, Jen ~ I need some rawhide, too. Those little things are actually bandaids with little "bee bees" in the center of them. They put one on each nipple before they did the mammogram. That's the first time I've had them put there, so maybe it's something new! Something for you to look forward to! I should have taken them off right afterwards, but instead, I left them on, ran errands and then came home to take them off. By then they were stuck on really, really good. Ouch!!!

  4. I have to go in for my mammogram in the next couple of weeks too. I have to say that I must be a weirdo because they never seem to bother me! I am sort of large on top..not sure if that makes a difference or not. But I have never had a lot of pain. Oh, and my doctors office has those same cute bandaids! Now that I think about it, THAT was the most painful part of the whole ordeal! Yanking those things off!
    Have a nice weekend Kathy,

  5. I think the part that hurts the most is when they try to get a part of your underarm in there. At least, they always try to get mine in there. You're lucky it don't hurt, Rosanne! But yikes, those little bandaids certainly do. I'm convinced that a man invented those! The same man that invented panty hose, no doubt! I hope you have a great weekend, too.

  6. Oh, if only men had to have their sensitive parts smashed between metal and plastic...when that happens, they'll finally make pain free mammograms!!

  7. Hey. I don't get cute little band-aids with my bee bees. Mine are just little round white papers with bee bees. They're not pretty like yours were. Those things DO hurt when you pull them off. I've talked to some of my friends and they didn't have to wear them... hmmm..... But... better a little pain than breast cancer!!

  8. This is true, Lora! I'd much rather the bee bee bandaids :) Maybe you'll get some colorful ones next time.
